Edge-ucation was conceptually born from a fundamental deficiency in the education and skills of the people of some communities in Oldham.  This can be seen to leach through to the next generation resulting in economic and social problems.  To tackle these issues it is envisioned that by educating and building the confidence of the adult population the mindset can be altered and the ethos changed. 

The first step towards achieving this goal is through Edge-ucation, an establishment that will provide such education and training in partnership with other key establishments including Lifelong learning services and Groundwork Oldham.  By forging direct links with such establishments we are more likely to succeed in providing a complete training package that will allow an individual to gain enough skills training and potentially the qualifications required to progress into a successful career.
